All officers and commissioners must:

  • Be positive role models for students.
  • Maintain good study habits and grades.
  • Be actively involved in Student Council and support council decisions.
  • Be in full-dress uniform when public speaking and/or representing the school.

President:

  • Plans and leads meetings and assemblies with the Student Council and faculty advisor.
  • Makes announcements and speeches at assemblies, Masses, and over the intercom.
  • Works hard to keep students active and involved in council meetings and school events.
  • Works at Student Store and other council-sponsored events.

Vice-President:

  • Supports the President in ideas and projects.
  • Leads council meetings when the President is not in attendance.
  • Makes announcements and speeches at assemblies, Masses, and over the intercom.
  • Works hard to keep students active and involved in council meetings and school events.
  • Works at Student Store and other council-sponsored events.

Secretary:

  • Records and reports minutes of council meetings.
  • Handles Student Council letters and notices.
  • Makes announcements and speeches at assemblies, Masses, and over the intercom.
  • Works at Student Store and other council-sponsored events.

Treasurer:

  • Counts and records weekly Student Store and other fundraising money.
  • Records and reports on council money matters to the Student Council, Advisor, and Student Body.
  • Makes announcements and speeches at assemblies, Masses, and over the intercom.
  • Works at Student Store and other council-sponsored events.

Pastoral Commissioner:

  • Leads prayer at assemblies, morning announcements, Masses, and council meetings.
  • Helps promote school-wide stewardship theme and school-wide learning expectations.
  • Makes announcements and speeches at assemblies, Masses, and over the intercom.
  • Works at Student Store and other council-sponsored events.

Stewardship Commissioner:

  • Initiates activities to support school-wide stewardship theme.
  • Encourages students to be good stewards of the earth through recycling programs.
  • Chairs Sparrow Club or other stewardship fundraising projects.
  • Makes announcements and speeches at assemblies, Masses, and over the intercom.
  • Works at Student Store and other council-sponsored events.

Spirit Commissioner:

  • Promotes school spirit activities.
  • Organizes and plans posters and advertising for Student Council events.
  • Makes announcements and speeches at assemblies, Masses, and over the intercom.
  • Works at Student Store and other council-sponsored events.

Classroom Representatives:

  • Attend all Student Council meetings.
  • Take notes and report Student Council news back to their classsrooms.
  • Bring classmate’s ideas to Council meetings.
  • Vote on Student Council as a representative of their class.
  • Works at Student Store and other council-sponsored events.
